WEEK 2 - INDEPENDENCE MONTH ACTIVITY’S WEEK (11 SEPTEMBER - 15 SEPTEMBER 2023)

    In my second week, SK Sungai Tua Baharu started the new week with an assembly on Monday morning. After the assembly was over, I went to 6 Kreatif because my class with them was right after the assembly ended. I conducted the class with Topic 4 which is Cool Jobs because my lovely 6 Kreatif pupils said that they are still learning the topic. 6 Kreatif are so loud and talkative. I almost lost my voice trying my best to control the class. I realized that I'm still bad at controlling the class. I really need to work on class control and voice projection. After the class ended, I asked my practicum partner (Ainun Sofeya) to have breakfast at the canteen with me because I'm so hungryyyy. Before school ended, 2 pupils from 6 Kreatif approached me at my table and asked me if I could help them prepare for their pentomin’s competition since they didn't have a teacher to guide them. I agreed and started to discuss it with them. 

    On Tuesday, I don’t have a class with 6 Kreatif so I just relaxed at my table and substituted a class of an absent teacher. The kids were so happy when I went to relief their class and asked me to have a chit-chat with them. They were so curious and kept asking a question about me. I tried my best to answer all of their answers. Then, I had some time to create a lesson plan for my future class when I didn't have a class. My 6 Kreatif pupils once again came to meet me in the teacher’s room and asked me if I was free that night because they wanted to come to school and practice their script together. I then asked my mentor if I could come with them tonight and she said could but I need to monitor them as best as possible for their safety. That night, I asked my bestie to come with me to do the practice. We also discussed what they need to wear for their competition to bring tomorrow for their rehearsal.

    The next day, year 4 kids were having their national songs singing competition. After the competition ended, the rehearsal for the year 6 pentomin competition started. I need to postpone my teaching lesson with 6 Kreatif again because of the rehearsal. They did kind of great on the rehearsal despite only practicing for 2 days. I'm so proud of them. They also keep on rehearsing their part but some of them are not as serious as others. But I do understand because kids lose their focus so fast. I spend the day rehearsing with them since the competition will be held the next day.

    On Thursday, I also need to postpone my lesson with 6 Kreatif for year 6 pentomin kemerdekaan competition. My 6 Kreatif trusted me so much that they asked me to draw their turn to perform. I drew the turn for them and they were so happy that I managed to draw number 8 so that they were not that nervous to perform later than the other class. I'm glad that I managed to draw the turn that they wanted. While waiting for the other class to perform, they were still practicing their part. They were very enthusiastic. When the competition ended, I went to meet them and told them that they did a great job and they thanked me for helping them with the competition. For the closing of the competition, 6 Kreatif asked me to take a group picture together with them and their classroom teacher.

    On the last day of week 2, I also needed to postpone my class with 6 Kreatif because our school was having the Hari Bertemu Waris on that day. I'm so sad that I didn't get the chance to teach my class 3 times in a row. I was assigned to welcome the parents who came to school on that day. In week 2 of my practicum, I learned that being a teacher is not about teaching only but you also need to do so many things unexpectedly.

WEEK 10 - CHILL WEEK WITH ME! (6 NOVEMBER -10 NOVEMBER 2023)

      I finally can have a chill week after going through such a hectic week with so many activities in one day. I can finally arrange my file after being left to dust for weeks. I didn't have class on Monday because of the assembly. So I just completed my lesson plan for the whole day. I also didn't have any relief class on Monday. I'm so glad because I can finally rest. The next day, I had a PJ class with 5 Cekal. We played hockey together. For your information, hockey is one of my favorite sports >.<     On Wednesday, I have a class with 6 Kreatif. In this lesson, I focused on grammar skills which is adjectives and comparison of adjectives. I gave them notes about adjectives and asked them a few questions about adjectives. WEEK 9 - SOLIDARITY PALESTINE WEEK (30 OCTOBER - 3 NOVEMBER 2023)

      For this week, the school have launched the week for Solidarity Palestine. This program was launched to spread the awareness on what is happening to the people in Palestine 🇵🇸 WE STAND WITH PALESTINE 🇵🇸       On Monday, I came early and prepared prizes for the winners that joined actively on the fitness month. There’s so many prizes and winners. Because of the gift giving ceremony took so long to finished, I need to postpone my Monday’s lesson with 6 Kreatif.      On Thursday, I went to the field together with year 6 pupils because they have a sports program.
